A fairly hard, heavy and dense hardwood. Extremely durable, oak timber is often used in a variety furniture making, flooring, boatbuilding and cooperage for wines, cognac and beer.
The History
Unavailable in the UK these stunning chairs were imported from La Fayette, a village in Stark County, Illinois in the United States. Just south of Chicago, it’s part of the Peoria, Illinois Metropolitan Statistical Area.
