Carbon Neutral Status

In the UK, businesses account for over 85% of total GHG emissions – making corporate action the number one priority in helping stop climate change. In 2022, Rustic Hire Ltd offset their carbon footprint to become certified as a Carbon Neutral Business by Carbon Neutral Britain.

As certification awarded by an external organisation, it provides assurance that the carbon neutral claim is robust and credible, following calculation using the ISO 14064 and GHG Protocol Emissions Standard principles of relevance, completeness, consistency, transparency and accuracy.

All of our furniture has a story. We hand make all of our tables and bars from salvaged or reclaimed wood. Our Giant Oak Trestle Tables started as floorboards imported to the UK in the 1960s and were used as a sprung dance floor before we made them into the perfect banqueting table. You can still see the heel marks on the wood!

We’re always looking to develop ranges so, if you can’t see what you’re looking for, we’re open to sourcing it and adding it to our stock. Just get in touch.

We take our sustainability very seriously so it made perfect sense to become a 1% for the Planet member. 1% for the Planet is a non-profit whose global members commit to donating 1% of their annual sales to non-profits working on behalf of the environment. We’re proud to join their organisation and incorporate philanthropy into our mission.
